In December 2021, the SMERGC and Tétraktys welcomed the Lao Ambassador in Paris, H.E. Yong Chanthalangs, who is also the Permanent Delegate of Laos to UNESCO. The visit allowed participants to discover the Monts d’Ardèche UNESCO Global Geopark, meet local officials, and gain a better understanding of how a geopark operates, in preparation for the creation of Laos’s first geopark.
