Coordinating the Next Steps of the Geopark Development
In December 2025, the Steering Committee of Hinboun Geopark was convened, bringing together key institutional stakeholders involved in the project both from Lao PDR and France.
This meeting provided a space to review recent milestones, including community awareness activities, the official creation of the Geopark, capacity-building efforts, and field visits conducted during the year.
The Steering Committee also discussed priorities for the upcoming period, with particular attention to governance, coordination between actors, and preparation for the UNESCO Global Geopark designation process.
By reinforcing coordination and shared vision among partners, the Steering Committee plays a central role in guiding the progressive and coherent development of Hinboun Geopark.
